Kwele was founded in February 2006. It is stemmed from the TeraDM project, winner of the French Ministry of research and innovative technologies 2004 national competition for innovative company creation in the "Emergence" category, which included a prize of 40k€. This prize enabled us to carry out a thorough market survey.

Since 2004, this project has benefited from the hiving off programme of the CEA (French Atomic Energy Commission) and is supported by Aquitaine regional council l and the French Ministry of research.

In 2007 Kwele, winner of the French Ministry of research and innovative technologies national competition in the "Creation-Development" category, which included a prize of 270k€, finalised its product range, strenghened its team and took part in the following events.

Kwele sprung from technical innovations deriving from research work by the CEA and the LAHC (Laboratory of Microwave and Characterisation) of the University of Savoie.
